ul.timate.info is a Mozilla Firefox Add-on that aims to simplify the way people interact with social network sites including Twitter, Facebook, MySpace and FriendFeed.

What Does That Mean?

ul.timate.info was created to cut down on the number of clicks users need to get things done. Things like follow users and post from multiple accounts on Twitter, send messages and write on someone's Wall on Facebook, add comments and view friends' friends on MySpace and even subscribe to users' feeds on FriendFeed. There's even a command line interface (a.k.a a terminal) for harder core users. In total, v.0.4.0 of ul.timate.info has over 100 features bringing contextual functions directly into the browser for the most popular social sites.

Quick History

What's with the name? Kinda heady, don't you think? Well, it's happenstance. Before ul.timate.info was call that, it was called UltimateFacebook. Before this update over 9,000 people have downloaded the add-on while still experimental on http://addons.mozilla.com. It focused on, you guessed it, Facebook. Quite simply it did thinks like allow you navigate Facebook using a right-click menu instead of flopping around from one link to another.

How Much Does It Cost?

It's FREE! I built ul.timate.info to explore solutions to problems that I experience. These include user experience, social interaction, storage and access, integration and others. There MAY be features released in the future that involve pay-for-play scenarios, but right now it's free. In versions prior to 0.4.4, I required users to follow me on Twitter. I eliminated that starting in 0.4.4. If you're not sure what version you have, install the newest one from this page and you'll definitely have the best build to date.

Big Whopping Caveat

ul.timate.info is a work-in-progress. It's a pretty comprehensive app that maintains your graph information, your connections, and a buncha propellerhead stuff that'll probably bore the bejezzus out of you. I've spent over a year developing the features, working through the bugs and refining the usability. It has a LONG way to go. I am, only one person. However, that being said, it is stable and only occasionally does it need a kick in the pants. Those instances are mostly caused by Firefox (not the add-on necessarily) misbehaving.
