Send Messages to Facebook User with One-Click

Overview

As Facebook's popularity has grown (rapidly) the desire for users to message one another, away from The Wall, has become a core and highly-trafficked feature. It should be mind-numbingly easy to get to someone and to message them. The current Facebook UI is not quite that. ul.timate.info enables users to quickly and easily get to the compose message screen within Facebook, thereby taking a series of unnecessary clicks out of the user experience.

Why?

I use Facebook mail almost moreso that any other way of communicating with my friends these days. The right-click feature seemed a natural fit given the magnitude of speed that ul.timate.info offers to core contextual actions.

How to Use

  • Using the mouse or trackpad, mouse over a person's Facebook link
  • Right-click on the link
  • Scroll down and select "Send Message"
  • You'll be immediately taken to the Compose Message page on Facebook with the user's name pre-populated in the modal display
