OverviewOne of the lesser used (in my opinion) features on FriendFeed is the ability to directly message one another. While it is very heavily used in Twitter, it definitely has it's applications within FriendFeed. There are times when email is too slow, txt is too abstract and IM is not available. FriendFeed direct messaging is a solid fit. ul.timate.info makes it easy to send direct messages on FriendFeed. All you have to do is right-click a user's FriendFeed profile link, select "Direct message" and you'll immediately be taken to the compose Direct message page. |
Why?While I, personally, don't use direct messaging too often, the times that I do, I am commonly coming from a recent post on the timeline or via someone's web page. It seemed like a natural feature addition to ul.timate.info. |
