OverviewPower users want to get where they're going with as little effort as possible and as fast as they can. As fast as GUI navigation can be, terminals are the holy grail of rapid movement within systems. ul.timate.info now features a command line terminal-like interface to enable users to fly through their interactions on sites like Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, FriendFeed, Google, Yahoo and Bing. While it's not everything and the kitchen sink, ther terminal has been designed to streamline the activities people use most from the sites featured within ul.timate.info. View friends, send messages, update status, etc. It just makes sense, no? The terminal will stay with you, on any page as long as you want it to ridealong at the bottom of the browser window. |
Why?After creating v0.3.1, I began wanting to use Facebook more rapidly than via right-click context menus alone. Since most of my day-to-day work involves the Terminal, and it's something that's unbelieveably fast and convenient, I chose to integrate that metaphor as an additional input mode for what is now ul.timate.info. |
