    Overview

A feature not necessarily first introduced by MySpace, but one that really set it apart in the early days of social networking was sending messages to users. However, getting to the actual compose screen is a less than eazy experience. There are 3 ways currently. The first is by going to your inbox, clicking compose message and then entering your friend's name; the second, by hovering over a person on someone's friends page and clicking "Send Message" and the third by clicking "Send Message" on the friend's page. Now you can do it far more easily using the ul.timate.info Terminal.

    How to Use

There are 4 ways to compose a message using the ul.timate.info Terminal on MySpace.

    1. Compose a message using your friend's MySpace username (if set by user)
Type 'm -my jasonwiener' and hit ENTER. This command will take you to the compose message page with the user's name pre-populated.

    2. Compose a message using your friend's MySpace user id
Type 'm -my 72205893' and hit ENTER. This command will also take you to the compose message page on MySpace with the user's name pre-populated.

    3. Compose a message from any of a particular MySpace user's pages

Even easier than typing in a person's info, you can quickly compose a message to that user, if you're viewing any of their pages on MySpace, by typing the command 'm' in the terminal from that page.
