OverviewTwitter is about messages, pure and simple. While the most original notion behind the service was to update co-workers and friends about what someone was doing, Twitter quickly evolved into a messaging platform that is able to satisfy the gap between to the too-private and un-persisted Instant Messenger medium and the verbosity and latentcy of email. As the status update box above a user's timeline became a messaging tool, the basic need to NOT type a person's screen name every time a user composes a message to them has quickly become a given. ul.timate.info enables users to auto-complete any person they are friends with or follow on Twitter by just starting to type their name and hitting the TAB key. Simple and very useful. |
Why?As I began to use Twitter more, I found myself needing to correspond with a subset of my friends and followers. However the only way to do this was to manually type out their entire name every time I composed them a message. LAME! That being said, it's why I built-in auto-completion. |
