Overview
One of the most distressing things online is providing your personal login information to use a 3rd party service. Giving your username and password to someone you don't know and who you have no idea as to their reputation or level of trust is a barrier that many users don't pass and, for those that do, is a point of stress, albeit minor in honest implementations, but still present.
ul.timate.info uses the built-in authentication and password management components to provide authenticated access to your Twitter account(s). Your information is NEVER saved to ul.timate.info's servers and only resides within the web browser, which you're already trusting to protect your identity. The process of authorizing access to a particular Twitter account's credentials is very similar in process to that of the rapidly-spreading OAuth movement, without the need to go off to 3rd party servers in most cases.
To authorize ul.timate.info to use an account that has been saved in the Mozilla Password Manager, you must provide the matching password to the username you're authorizing. If the screen name is not already saved in the Password Manager, then you can also add the new screen name to both the Password Manager as well as authorize ul.timate.info to access it through the settings panel. If the screen name and password are new, ul.timate.info will make a validation request to Twitter to verify the credentials and then, if verified, save them to the browser Password Manager.
