Search for Mentions of a Twitter User

Overview

Normally it's a real pain to search for mentions of a user. From either the Twitter timeline or from Twitter Search, you have to either cut-and-paste or key-in a user's name to find mentions of them. Within the Twitter timeline, the mentions function seems to not keep up-to-date as closely to real-time as the ex-Summize Search that is now Twitter Search. To search for mentions of a user, simply right click their name in the Twitter timeline and select "Search User"

Why?

As my pet project Twiike began to pick up speed, I wanted to find mentions of @twiike regularly without having to switch over as the @twiike user. "Search user" seemed like a great alternative or stop gap.

How to Use

• Using the mouse or trackpad, mouse over a Twitter screen name (or even their Twitter link on any web page)
• Right-click on the link
• Scroll down and select "Search user"
• You'll be immediately taken to the search results featuring mentions of the user
